Robert
Moore
Mr. Moore is a nationally recognized
painter from Idaho whose evocative landscapes, farm scenes and still lifes reflect
a profound attachment to his boyhood home. As a young man, his talent earned him
a full scholarship to the prestigious Art Center School of Design in Pasadena.
There, studying under the important impressionist Dan McCaw, Mr. Moore wrought
his own style through a new understanding of the limitless possibilities of impressionism.
The
artist paints primarily on location, working to preserve the color relationships
of the natural world while seeking depth and sophistication in his compositions.
And though his paintings most often depict the landscape of the Rocky Mountain
West, Mr. Moore says, "I'm not as interested in specific subjects as I am
in trying to decipher the natural order of he landscape, the essential beauty
of the world around me."
Mr.
Moore is a well-respected painter with a growing national reputation; his work
has been featured in Southwest Art, and he has enjoyed five highly successful
one-man shows at Chaparral.
