Karen
Ramsay
Ms. Ramsay's devotion to plein air
painting began at the age of eight. Growing up in Colorado and making frequent
visits to rural Montana inspired her love of nature and appreciation for painting
on location. A graduate of the Colorado Instutute of Art, Ms. Ramsay devotes her
energy to creating oputstanding watercolor painting of a variety of subjects.
Living in the West enables the artist to take weekly painting trips into Rocky
Mountain National Park and to study at the Loveland Academy of Fine Art, where
she explores protraiture and life drawing. She has studied with Charles Reid,
Burton Silverman, and Eric Weingardt. In June of 2000, she won a Best of Show
award at Chaparral's Masters in Montana invitional and her work was fetured in
a two person show at Chaparral in November of 2000. | |
